Printer-Friendly Format

NEW YORK — September 8, 2009: Manufacturers of licensed merchandise in mid-2009 have rights to an average 10.3 properties, up from 8.9 properties two years ago, according to the 2010 Licensing Letter Sourcebook from EPM Communications.

The Sourcebook, now in its 16th edition, is the most comprehensive directory available to the licensing business.

The completely revised 2010 Sourcebook identifies more than 3800 companies active in the business of licensing and merchandising, including:

• 1150 Intellectual Property Owners, including entertainment, fashion, sports, food/beverage and other companies (plus listings of the properties they own and agents that represent them)

• 400 Licensing Agents (and the properties they represent)

• 1300 Manufacturers of apparel, footwear, electronics, gifts & novelties, home furnishings, health & beauty aids, toys, and more (with the properties for which they are licensed and the products they make)

• 1000 service providers, including consultants, attorneys, accounting firms, and others.

Approximately 20% of the listings are for companies outside the United States.

The 2010 Licensing Letter Sourcebook is available as a book or a single-user CD-ROM for $379 (add $95 to receive book + CD-ROM); subscribers to EPM Communications' The Licensing Letter save $50. A multi-user version of the CD-ROM is also available.
